10 Gifts for Coffee Lovers at Christmas
Share
Christmas is nearly upon us and as we're all looking for gifts to buy for our loved ones, let me help you out with some gifts for coffee lovers.
The best gifts for coffee lovers, from a coffee lover
1. Speciality Coffee Beans
Every coffee lover will have their own favourite brand to buy from, but sometimes it's nice to mix it up a little and throw a new blend into the grinder.
Little Birdie Coffee is an artisan coffee roaster, based locally to me in Perthshire! With 8 different choices of coffee, ranging from a light roast to a dark roast, there's definitely something for every coffee lover; and it's not just coffee, with a range of teas and hot chocolates too, you can even tick off some extra gifts at the same time!
(For full disclosure: I work with Little Birdie on their market stalls, serving coffee beans to the good people of Scotland on the weekends, but that isn't why they're my favourite coffee brand... I just so happen to get to work with my favourite coffee brand!)
2. Origami Coffee Drip
You've got the coffee covered, but how are we brewing it? There are many ways to brew your cup; in a cafetière, a moka pot, making an espresso... The list goes on. Personally, I'm a big fan of an origami drip, especially on those days I'm looking to enjoy the slow process of coffee brewing.
While working a coffee festival selling my coffee bean jewellery, I went for a look around the stalls and this beautiful origami drip caught my eye!
It's just such an appealing brew method, for those coffee lovers who love the process of making, and it looks as cool brewing coffee as it does on the shelf. It's absolutely a gift that would sit on any Christmas gift recipient's countertop with pride.
There are many different kinds available, but my personal favourite is this colourful one from Crank House Coffee Roasters.
3. Sterling Silver Coffee Bean Jewellery
Next up in our gifts for coffee lovers guide, and handcrafted in the heart of Perthshire, these sterling silver coffee bean jewellery pieces are sure to delight the coffee lover in your life this Christmas.
Bringing a unique approach to their love of a good coffee, these coffee themed jewellery are subtle enough for everyday wear, and a conversation starter for those with a good eye.
A Columbian Supremo coffee bean was used to create the mould for the pieces, before they were handcrafted with love and care (and a coffee on the side!).
From necklaces and earrings, to cufflinks and clip ties; these timeless jewellery pieces make the perfect gifts for coffee lovers anywhere.
4. Home Barista Skills Workshop
For those getting a bit more serious about their homemade coffee, a Home Barista Skills workshop with Adams Coffee Glasgow is a must and is a particularly ideal gift for coffee lovers in Scotland - especially if they're also receiving a new espresso machine this Christmas!
While they learn about distribution, latte art and correct milk texturing technique, you can rest easy in the knowledge a perfect coffee will never be far from your hands soon enough!
5. Handmade Coffee Mugs
At Sølv Lines, we're of the opinion that the best way to enjoy a good cup of coffee is out of a handmade mug, and Claire Henry Ceramics is one of our favourites!
From the size, to the handle, to the laser like lines on this glorious cat mug, there is no better gift for your coffee lover than a handmade mug.
Not quite your thing? Make sure to stop by your local independent shop, or festive market, as there's always great ceramics for different tastes there!
6. Coffee Themed Bookmarks
There are few better things than curling up with a nice cup of coffee and a good book, so why not combine those loves together?
Coffee themed bookmarks make the perfect gifts for coffee lovers, and why not pair with a good book about coffee too? The Before the Coffee Gets Cold series is a particular favourite of ours, and is the perfect match to our Cooper & Bronze Coffee Bean Bookmark.
If you're on a bit more of a budget this Christmas, there are lots of other lovely independent business who sell coffee themed paper bookmarks too!
7. Aeropress Clear
There's a reason that Aeropress is a popular choice for coffee makers everywhere; it just makes a damn fine cup of coffee.
With multiple methods of brewing, this versatile piece of coffee making equipment has a place in every coffee lovers home - it's super portable too so whether it's van life or camping, or cosy in bed, it can go wherever they go.
We're particular fans of the clear design as you can see the brewing process happen before your eyes, but they even come with a bit more personality and colour now too!
Aeropress are so popular around the world, that there are even championship coffee competitions (who knew?!) based on who can make the best coffee with this bit of kit.
Help your coffee lover take their first step towards going for gold, or maybe just a really good cup of coffee.
8. Coffee Themed Art
Most people love an art print around their home, whether they rent or own, they're an easy way to add some personality to a space. We like to make our coffee brewing station extra special by hanging some coffee themed artwork above it, and oh have we got a selection for you!
Demi Yuill is the other half of Sølv Lines, and one of her great loves is creating artwork around our shared favourite beverage - coffee.
All prints are available to purchase with or without a frame, and truly do make the perfect gifts for coffee lovers this Christmas.
9. Make Your Own Mug
Is your coffee lover a creative type? Perhaps they'd like to try their hand at pottery, and revel in the joy of drinking coffee from a mug made by their own hand!
If you're local to Dunkeld, Ellen MacFarlane at Kiln Creative offers incredible workshops for learning how to craft your own pottery; from hand building techniques to spinning on the wheel.
We're firm believers that your coffee tastes better in a mug you made yourself, and a pottery workshop will provide that experience for the coffee lover in your life!
10. Recycled Coffee Scoop
For those coffee lovers in your life who followed the skater boy/girl to coffee snob pipeline (there's got to be some sort of theory on that, right?) then this is for them!
This incredible coffee scoop is made from worn out and recycled skateboards, creating an eye catching, conversation starting peice of coffee kit to have in the kitchen.
No Comply are based in Dundee, and turn skateboards at the end of their life into design-led homeware, kitchenware, jewellery and furniture.
As a former skater and current coffee lover, this is definitely on my list to Santa this year (friends and family, take note!) and would make a much appreciated gift to coffee lovers everywhere, no matter whether they've been on a board or not!
Any of the 10 suggestions here would make great gifts for coffee lovers everywhere (whether that's someone else, or just yourself!).
